Growing up in Virginia surrounded by museums helped spark Kate’s love for history. She would regularly visit museums on school trips as well as with her family and would spend hours looking at museum artifacts. A recent transplant to Kansas, Kate fell in love with Lawrence while getting her masters degree in Museum Studies from the University of Kansas. Her passion is discovering the story behind the artifact and using those stories to forge deeper connections between artifacts and museum visitors.
