Abby has been on the board of the Douglas County Historical Society since 2019. As a graduate of KU’s Museum Studies program, she values a museum’s place in society and enjoys contributing to the mission of the Watkins Museum of History. She also works at KU as a systems manager, where she excels at (and enjoys!) brainstorming processes and making online systems easier to use. Since moving to Lawrence in 2006, Abby has fallen in love with its rich history and sense of community. On the weekends, you may find her strolling through the farmer’s market, watching a movie at Liberty Hall, or running after her toddler in South Park.
