In 2021, Sister Cities International presented Lawrence with their Annual Award for Innovation in Arts and Culture for a series of articles written in German and published in the daily newspaper of our sister city, Eutin, Germany. The articles share stories of life in Lawrence, particularly the impact of Covid-19 on different aspects of the community, to build a connection with all the residents of Eutin, not just the ones involved with the Sister Cities program. The exhibit features the award that was presented by Sister Cities International and examples of the articles that appeared in the Ostholsteiner Anzeiger.
