This exhibit, designed by students in the University of Kansas Museum Studies Department, tells the unique story of a wren statue and the people who have preserved it through the years. From the creation of the Jenny Wren flour brand that inspired the statue, through the wren’s status as a downtown Lawrence landmark, and finally to its recovery and current-day restoration, this statue is more than meets the eye!
