On Two Fronts: Kansans Fighting the Great War
In this episode, Natalie announces a new exhibit debuting at the Watkins Museum in May called On Two Fronts: Kansans Fighting the Great War. The display will explore the harrowing experiences of Kansans in WWI using first-hand accounts, artifacts, and interactives. On display in the museum’s Community Room from May 2 to July 39.
In this special three-part exhibit audiences will encounter the harrowing experiences of Kansans in WWI using first-hand accounts, artifacts, and interactives. The ticketed experience features the traveling exhibit, Life in the Trenches, developed by the Smoky Hill Museum, with two additional artifact-rich exhibits, How the War Was Told: Propaganda in WWI and Roll of Honor: The WWI Soldiers & Nurses of Lawrence developed by the Watkins Museum in partnership with the Spencer Museum of Art and the National World War I Museum and Memorial.
